Sweet Talk with the Sweet Sixteens: October 4th

Welcome to Week Forty of Sweet Talk with the Sweet Sixteens! To see more details about Sweet Talk as well as previous posts, see the introduction post. Thanks to Charlene (Bookish Whimsy), for designing the banner and button for Sweet Talk.

Today, I'm featuring the authors and books publishing during the week of October 4th!

The Questions:

1. Describe your debut novel in sixteen words.
2. Pitch your book! For fans of _____, _____ meets _____, etc.
3. What are you working on now – is it related to your debut novel?

The Authors:

Lisa A. Koosis, Author of Resurrecting Sunshine

1. A grieving musician must make an impossible choice about cloning the girl he loved and lost.

2. For readers of contemporary YA as well as science fiction, RESURRECTING SUNSHINE is less about cloning and more a story exploring love, loss, and identity. It will appeal to fans of THE ADORATION OF JENNA FOX or IF I STAY.

3. I'm a little superstitious when it comes to talking about new projects, but I will say that it's something I'm very excited about. So stay tuned!

1. An epic middle grade series retelling Arthurian legends from the eyes of a mouse.

2. An epic new middle grade series in the tradition of Redwall and Poppy.

3. Book three of the series!

  1. I read (and really enjoyed) Our Chemical Hearts and Last Seen Leaving. OCH was all the feels, and Last Seen Leaving had great twists and turns in the mystery, while deftly incorporating the coming out part of the story.

  7. Yay for cute looking books :D A Tail of Camelot looks so pretty. But not sure I would enjoy reading books from a mouse point of view, haha :D No hints of romance, I guess.. hih :)
